This session will address the often-overlooked journey of WGBD who have spent their lives believing that only men can have bleeding episodes. Many have been caregivers for their male relatives, caring for them without recognizing their own symptoms. The session will explore the critical moment when these WGBD acknowledge their own patient status and the subsequent transition into becoming self-advocates for their access to care. We will discuss the challenges they face, the support needed, and the steps to empower them to become advocates not only for themselves but for the broader community.
