Physical Therapist
Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders & Seattle Childrens' Hospital
Seattle, United States
Mark is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) certified in musculoskeletal ultrasonography (RMSK). He is
currently practicing at the Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs) at the Washington Center for
Bleeding Disorders and Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, WA. Mark earned his Bachelor of
Science from the Pennsylvania State University in 2012 and completed his doctoral training in
physical therapy at Rutgers University in 2017. Presently, Mark works predominantly with patients
who have musculoskeletal complications from living with a bleeding disorder. However, he confers
experience working with a wide variety of conditions over his professional career — spinal cord
injury, neurological conditions, hypermobility, orthopedics, and hemophilia/bleeding disorders. He
was fortunate to have been surrounded by outstanding mentors in these areas who have helped
shape his holistic approach to clinical care with emphasis on fostering a therapeutic relationship with
his patients. Mark recognizes that every person requires a tailored approach to their rehabilitation
journey and is striving to return to activities meaningful to them. When Mark approaches patient
care, he aims to synthesize clinical reasoning, functional biomechanics, therapeutic exercise
prescription, pain science and patient’s unique experiences and circumstances to achieve optimal
outcomes. Of specific interest, he continues to train, collaborate, educate, research and integrate the
use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in hemophilia care and with other orthopedic conditions for
clinical rehabilitation and joint health research.
In Mark’s free time he enjoys playing golf, exercising, socializing with friends, traveling, and spending
time with his family, fiancé and rescue dog, Ruby.
