Fred Loeffler PT, DPT, LAT, ATC, CLT, serves as Physical Therapist at the Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (IHTC) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Fred earned his B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School in 1991. In 1992, Fred became a certified Athletic Trainer. He went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2011. Fred has specialized in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Athletic training for 32 years. He was a private practice owner for over 15 years prior to joining Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center. He has been serving patients at IHTC for 8 years with a focus on evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal limitations related to bleeding disorders and lymphatic and vascular malformations. Since joining IHTC Fred has been utilizing point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound for the evaluation of acute bleeding episodes, early detection of hemophilic arthropathy using the HEAD-US protocol, and evaluation of musculoskeletal concerns across the life span. He has taught POC MSKUS to HTC physicians and physical therapist throughout the united states as well as Internationally at the NNHF India 13 Project MSK tract held in New Delhi. Fred is a current member the National Bleeding Disorder Foundation PT working group as the Great Lakes Regional Representative where he serves on the MSKUS, membership, and mentorship committees.
