Pamela has been a volunteer of the Canadian Hemophilia Society (CHS) and the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) for many years. She is a former President of CHS and has been a member of numerous committees.She currently serves on the Care and Treatment, Scholarship, and Awards committees. Pam also served as Lay Representative on the Board of Directors of WFH.Until recently, she was a mamber of the Hemophilia Advocacy Advisory Board (HAAB). Currenty, Pam is Chair of the Susan Skinner Memorial Scholarship Committee.
In 2021, Pam retired from her work as a respiratory nurse educator at St. Joseph's Healtcare London and immediately joined the Covid fight as an immunization nurse, Huron Perth Public Health (Ontario). This work continues, as does her casual role as a Research Assistant for asthma/COPD studies, Lawson Health Research Institute.
Pam is a "symtomatic" carrier of Factor VIII Deficiency. She bleeds. She is married to a man who has VWD and together they have a son with severe Factor VIII Deficiency, as well as VWD.
Pam resides in London, Ontario, Canada.
