Jane Portnoy, BA, (SW), Grad Dip Family Therapy. Ms Portnoy is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker, and a Clinical Member of AAFT.
Ms Portnoy works at the Ronald Sawers Haemophilia Treatment Centre at the Alfred and in private practice as a Family Therapist. Ms Portnoy has a 35-year career in Social Work in Haemophilia and Bleeding disorders, Health and 15 years in Child and Youth Mental Health.
She serves on the Psychosocial Committee of the World Federation of Hemophilia. She is currently working on updating some modules of the WFH psychosocial committee’s toolkit.
Ms Portnoy participated in the GAP program to Vietnam in 2018, particularly teaching in the area of mental health and haemophilia.
She has spoken at multiple HFA conferences, and in 2019 spoke at the International Conference on Health and Mental Health in York, UK. She regularly writes articles for HFV’s newsletter and for HFA’s National Haemophilia Journal.
