Elizabeth Clearfield, Baltimore, MD, is a Senior Research Manager with the Institute for Policy Advancement Ltd. She specializes in core outcome set development and patient quality-of-life studies as part of her focus on patient-centered outcomes research. She works in qualitative and quantitative methods and focuses on study design and methodology for projects aiming to improve comparative effectiveness research and elevate the patient voice through patient- and multi-stakeholder engagement. Recent projects include the coreHEM and coreVWD Core Outcome Set Initiatives, and the development of patient reported outcome measure (PROM) to measure mental health outlook. Elizabeth is also part of the the PROBE Study team with the Patient Outcomes Research Group (PORG). Elizabeth previously worked at the Center for Medical Technology Policy (CMTP), as an epidemiologist in the US Army’s Public Health Command, and as a methodologist performing systematic literature reviews with the Cochrane Eyes and Vision Group. She earned a BS in Biology from Lafayette College and an MHS in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
