I was born in Lugo (Spain) in 1970. I graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela (Galicia, Spain) in 1988. Subsequently, I trained as a haematologist at the "Instituto Portugues de Oncologia" from Porto (Portugal) between 2000 and 2004. After that, I worked in the "Hospital São Sebastião" from Santa Maria da Feira (Portugal) until 2007, when I started my professional activity in the Haematology and Haemotherapy Service of the Hospital Universitario Xeral-Cies from Vigo (Galicia, Spain) and since 2015, in the new Hospital Universitario Alvaro Cunqueiro, in the same city. Since 2010 I have been working in the Coagulation Section of the Haematology and Haemotherapy Service, with special attention to haemophilia and related disorders. I have a Master's Degree in Thrombotic Pathology from the University of Navarra (Spain, 2011) and a Master's Degree in Congenital Coagulopathies from the University of Alcala de Henares (Spain, 2018). I am a member of the Scientific Committee of the Royal Victoria Eugenia Foundation (Spain), a non-profit organisation for the promotion, dissemination and training in the area of congenital coagulopathies and a member of the Spanish Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (SETH). I have collaborated in national and international studies in the area of congenital coagulopathies and participated as a speaker at national and international events.
